There are currently 3 Detective Conan Magic Files:

♥Magic File 1
Magic File 1 is a collection PPV already released episodes. It was more like a recap episodes distributed on DVD.

♥Magic File 2
Magic File 2 was sold at select retailers (7-11 branded equivalents) in Japan, along with PPV episodes of the show (episodes released long before, such as the NY case). The first disc housed the Movie 12 Side-Story OVA - Kudo Shinichi - The Case of the Mysterious Wall and the Black Lab, which features Kudou Shinichi and details a bit of the backstory from the upcoming movie. The second disc was the one with the PPV episodes.

Movie 12 Side-Story OVA - Kudo Shinichi - The Case of the Mysterious Wall and the Black Lab

It is three years prior to the movie events where Shinichi tries to find a witness to confirm a man's alibi for innocence from the murder of his grandmother; apparently he passed out drinking the day he was supposed to meet his grandmother. The clues are a black lab the man saw when he was drunk and the wall which blocks his view. Genta, Ayumi, and Mitsuhiko are shown in Kindergarten but they are too young to confirm the man's alibi. Shinichi solves the case with the help of his father. In the end, he walks down a path with Ran they notice woman starts singing; the song happens to be "Amazing Grace". Conan voices that the song he heard will be important in the case three years from now.

♥Magic File 3
The 3rd Magic File is of course a pre-story of the new Detective Conan movie (Movie 13), ‘The Raven Chaser‘. The DVD was released the same day (April 18) Movie 13 was released on theatres nationwide in Japan. It contains two discs: one disc for the episode, and the other with a Pay-Per-View Online Game
